Details: we’re looking for a Senior .NET Architect / Technical Lead to take ownership of the technical assessment, stabilization, and long-term evolution of a large-scale financial platform running in production on Microsoft Azure.
You’ll work with a business-critical platform consisting of 30+ event-driven microservices, complex accounting and payment workflows, multiple databases, Kubernetes infrastructure, external integrations, and over 100 CI/CD pipelines.
This is a hands-on architecture role focused on understanding an existing production system, identifying technical risks, improving delivery reliability, and defining a long-term architecture evolution plan.
Qualifications: * 8+ years of commercial software development experience, including 5+ years with C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core. * Previous experience as a Software Architect, Solution Architect, Technical Lead, Staff Engineer, or similar technical leadership role. * Strong experience designing distributed, event-driven microservice architectures. * Production experience with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, SQL Server, and messaging systems such as Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ. * Experience with REST, gRPC, webhooks, service-to-service integrations, modern CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and GitOps practices. * Strong troubleshooting skills, including complex cross-service and data-consistency issues. * English language proficiency at B2 level (upper-intermediate) and above.
Would be a plus: * Experience with .NET 8, Angular, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, Azure Monitor, or Application Insights. * Familiarity with CQRS, DDD, Clean Architecture, and Saga patterns. * Experience in regulated financial systems (PCI DSS), accounting, fintech, payment processing, or construction management. * Experience taking over production platforms with limited knowledge transfer, improving release processes, and simplifying fragmented microservice architectures.
Responsibilities: * Lead the technical assessment, stabilization, and long-term evolution of the existing production platform. * Analyze the architecture, service dependencies, data flows, integrations, and infrastructure to identify technical risks and improvement opportunities. * Drive architectural improvements, reduce technical debt, and define a pragmatic modernization roadmap aligned with business priorities. * Improve CI/CD, deployment, database migration, and rollback processes. * Establish engineering standards, technical governance, and best practices for development, code review, testing, and releases. * Investigate complex production issues, support root-cause analysis, and drive long-term solutions. * Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with the Delivery Manager, DevOps/SRE, QA, and client tech lead.
Interview steps: * Screening with the recruiter (about 45 minutes). * Interview with the Project Manager (about 1 hour). * Interview with the client (about 1 hour).
