Technical Requirements * 5+ years of professional 3D character art and animation experience in game development * Strong proficiency in 3D character modeling software (Character Creator, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, or equivalent) * Expert knowledge of character texturing workflows (Substance Painter, Mari, or equivalent) * Strong understanding of human and animal anatomy * Expert knowledge of 3D animation principles and techniques * Proficiency in animation software (Maya, Blender, or equivalent) * Experience with character rigging, skinning, and creating animation-ready characters * Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, weight, anticipation, follow-through) * Experience creating character animations (idle, walk, run and gameplay-specific animations) * Knowledge of Unity engine and Unity’s character systems (avatars, Animator Controller, Animation Clips, materials) * Strong understanding of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflows for characters * Experience with optimization techniques for character assets and animations (LODs, texture atlasing, polygon budgets, animation compression) * Understanding of character design principles, silhouette, and visual storytelling * Familiarity with modern AI techniques and generative AI tools relevant to character art and animation (e.g., AI-assisted texture generation, AI concept art, AI animation tools, motion capture processing) * Experience using AI tools to enhance character art and animation workflows * Understanding of how AI can accelerate character creation, animation, and iteration
