A recruitment agency, HiringWise, is looking for a Risk Analyst for an Israeli product company in the domain of risk management and cyber intelligence.
Role Overview
You will perform in-depth investigations using OSINT, internal tools, HUMINT-supported methods, and detailed analytical techniques to uncover concealed merchant behavior, map connections between sites, assess compliance and reputational risk, and prepare evidence-driven reports used by major global payment providers and fintech partners.
This role suits someone who enjoys investigative research, understands how illicit online operations function, and wants to help safeguard the payments industry.
Responsibilities
Investigation & Analysis
* Perform comprehensive reviews of online merchants, sellers, and their digital infrastructure (domains, DNS/WHOIS, IPs, hosting, business records, social media, etc.).
* Examine suspicious products or services including high-risk pharmaceuticals, illicit goods, fraudulent entities, and online scam schemes.
* Detect transaction laundering, hidden processing, policy evasion, and merchant masking strategies.
* Produce clear, structured Risk Insight Reports and merchant assessments, translating findings into actionable risk recommendations.
* Evaluate compliance with card-brand rules, MCC requirements, regional regulations, and platform standards.
Data, Tools & Research
* Utilize proprietary systems along with OSINT/HUMINT research techniques.
* Maintain awareness of risk indicators across industries, regions, and product categories.
* Track evolving fraud methodologies and regulatory updates across the U.S., EU, UK, LATAM, and APAC.
* Support internal knowledge development, contribute to playbooks, and collaborate on cross-team investigations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Strong professional English; additional languages are a plus.
* Prior experience in fraud analysis, OSINT, AML, merchant monitoring, risk operations, intelligence, or similar fields (or demonstrated investigative experience).
* Experience reviewing online merchants, especially in regulated or high-risk sectors.
* Solid understanding of online attribution: WHOIS/DNS, IP analysis, hosting infrastructure, domain data, website fingerprinting, reverse image search, etc.
* Data literacy (basic SQL, advanced Excel). Familiarity with automation is beneficial.
* Ability to recognize red flags, obfuscation tactics, and connections across large sets of digital assets.
* Excellent writing and documentation skills with the ability to produce clear, client-ready reports.
