The Role We’re looking for a Visual Designer to join a small creative team and create visual assets that bring stories to life. You’ll work on 2D environments, backgrounds, props, illustrations, and campaign imagery, combining traditional design skills with AI-powered image generation.
You’ll collaborate closely with the design lead, producer, and animation team to create high-quality visuals that match each project’s established style. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented designer who can work independently, adapt to different creative needs, and turn ideas into polished visual assets. What You’ll Be Doing * Create and extend 2D environments, backgrounds, props, illustrations, and other visual assets * Combine original sketches, AI-generated images, and manual editing to develop high-quality visuals * Refine compositions, lighting, colours, and visual details to achieve the desired look * Maintain visual consistency across assets and ensure they fit the established style of each project * Create designs that work within larger environments and can be adapted across different platforms * Share work in progress, gather feedback at key stages, and incorporate it into the final output * Collaborate with designers, animators, and the producer to deliver visual assets that support storytelling
What We ExpectMust-have * Strong 2D design and image-making skills, with a good understanding of composition, lighting, colour, and typography * Proven experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator * Hands-on experience with AI image-generation tools such as Midjourney, ChatGPT, Nano Banana, Seedance, or comparable tools * Strong prompt-writing skills and the ability to guide AI tools towards a specific visual direction * Ability to think in 3D space and design environments, props, and visual assets that fit a coherent style * Excellent spoken and written English * Independence, ownership, attention to detail, and proactive communication * A collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment
Nice-to-have * Experience in gaming, animation, or similar visual-production environments * Experience with After Effects
