We’re looking for a developer to build and maintain HTML5 slot games using Pixi.js and TypeScript — from game scenes and animations to server integration and reliable performance on mobile devices.
We value clean, readable code, thoughtful architecture, and reusable solutions. You should be comfortable taking ownership of your work and independently turning requirements into finished features.
Responsibilities:
— Develop slot game clients: scenes, game states, UI, animations, visual effects, and transitions. — Implement the frontend behavior of slot mechanics, including reels, paylines, ways, cascades, sticky symbols, respins, and bonus rounds. — Integrate game APIs, including betting, spin results, bonus flows, game history, and session recovery. — Work with illustrators and animators to integrate assets and Spine animations. — Manage asset loading, texture atlases, fonts, resource versioning, and memory usage. — Profile and optimize performance across desktop and mobile browsers, including iOS and Android. — Develop and maintain shared modules and tools that can be reused across multiple games. — Participate in code reviews and document architectural decisions and reusable functionality.
Requirements:
— Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills. — Practical experience developing games with Pixi.js. — Understanding of containers, sprites, masks, filters, interaction, and texture management. — Understanding of game loops, event systems, animation timing, and asynchronous game sequences. — Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code with clear separation of responsibilities. — Experience with state machines, pub/sub, dependency management, and modular architecture. — Ability to choose appropriate design patterns and explain the trade-offs. — Experience integrating APIs and handling errors, interrupted requests, and session recovery. — Familiarity with Git and build tools such as Vite or Webpack. — Experience debugging performance issues and memory leaks.
Would be a plus:
— Previous experience developing slot games. — Experience developing games for Stake / Stake Engine. — Experience with Spine and animation sequencing. — Knowledge of particles, shaders, filters, and WebAudio. — Experience with ECS, MVVM, or reactive state management. — Experience adapting game layouts to different screen sizes and orientations. — Experience building an internal game framework or SDK used across multiple projects. — Familiarity with localization and asset delivery through a CDN.
What matters to us:
— Ownership of the quality and completeness of your work. — Independence in investigating problems and finding solutions. — Initiative: proposing improvements and identifying issues early. — Clear communication about progress, blockers, and deadlines. — Attention to visual details, animation quality, and the overall player experience. — Willingness to learn, share knowledge, and improve the development process.
