Position Description Kindgeek is looking for a dependable engineer who treats infrastructure as a craft, not just a checklist. Your mission will be to grow and shape a live fintech product used by 100,000+ users — working directly with the client, making technical decisions that matter, and owning them with confidence. This is a role for someone who doesn’t just write code but shapes solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for: * Maintaining and evolving our core cloud infrastructure on AWS; * Managing CI/CD platforms, including Jenkins and Atlantis, to keep delivery pipelines fast and reliable; * Operating and scaling Kubernetes clusters and their supporting components; * Administering platform services such as Kafka/MSK, Vault, Kong, Keycloak, AppGate, and Amazon Connect; * Building and maintaining Terraform codebases and enforcing infrastructure-as-code standards; * Leading reliability and resilience efforts, including failover design and disaster recovery testing; * Writing and maintaining operational runbooks and platform support processes; * Implementing security and compliance controls across platform infrastructure, and improving monitoring and logging through Datadog and internal dashboards; * Applying FinOps practices to monitor, optimise, and forecast cloud infrastructure costs.
REQUIREMENTS
We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who has: * 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles; * Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services; * Proven experience managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Atlantis (or similar tools); * Solid production experience with Kubernetes and its ecosystem; * Experience operating Kafka or Amazon MSK at scale; * Practical knowledge of Vault, Kong, and Keycloak in production environments; * Strong Terraform skills and a clear understanding of infrastructure-as-code best practices; * Experience designing and testing failover and disaster recovery processes; * Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog; * A security-first mindset and understanding of compliance requirements for platform infrastructure; * Experience with FinOps practices, including cost monitoring, optimisation, and forecasting for cloud infrastructure; * Prior experience working in fintech or banking environments, with an understanding of their security and compliance standards.
Will be a plus: * Experience with AppGate or Amazon Connect; * A FinOps certification (e.g. FinOps Certified Practitioner); * Experience writing and maintaining on-call runbooks and incident response processes.
