About the role We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join the team building a fintech product for the US market. You’ll work end-to-end: from analyzing requirements to release, in close collaboration with developers, product owners, and US-based stakeholders. The role combines manual, API, and supporting automated testing — this is not a narrow automation position.
What you’ll do Analyze requirements and user stories independently before development starts — spotting gaps, contradictions, and ambiguities, and raising clarifying questions with BAs and product owners.
Design and write test cases and test plans from scratch, covering functionality comprehensively. Perform API testing (Postman) — from endpoint validation to complex financial business logic (transaction states, lifecycle, balance reconciliation), with an understanding of what happens on the backend: queues, webhooks, async processing.
Verify data in PostgreSQL — SELECTs, multi-table JOINs, aggregations, and data-integrity checks after complex operations.
Write and maintain automated tests in Python/Playwright within an existing framework (page objects and fixtures already in place) — roughly 25–35% of your time, complementing manual and API testing.
Test responsive/mobile web interfaces — cross-device and cross-browser verification.
Estimate and prioritize your own tasks; own your testing scope independently.
Document defects clearly and reproducibly, with correct severity/priority — ticket-ready reports, not “something broke, take a look.”
Actively participate in the Agile process (Scrum/Kanban): planning, stand-ups, retrospectives. Communicate with US-based stakeholders in writing and verbally — clarifying requirements, reporting status, presenting results.
Minimum requirements: • 4+ years of experience in QA. • Strong API testing (Postman or similar) with an understanding of backend mechanics (async, queues, webhooks). • SQL / PostgreSQL: JOINs, aggregations, data-integrity verification. • Python + Playwright: ability to read, run, and write automated tests within an existing framework. • Solid command of test design techniques. • Experience testing responsive/mobile web. • Experience with Jira; understanding of Scrum and Kanban. • Active use of AI tools in daily work (test-case generation, debugging, research). • Ability to hold your ground in cross-team collaboration — reasoned push-back on defects, defending your QA signal. • B2+ English with confident spoken communication.
Nice to have • Experience in the fintech/insurance domain. • Performance testing. • Experience with AI-assisted QA workflows (Claude / MCP integrations, custom skills, automation of routine work). • DynamoDB / NoSQL. • Experience with AWS. • Automation framework development (architecture, CI). • A degree in IT or a related field.
We offer: • Great competitive salary • Interesting projects and good career growth • 20 working days of paid vacation plus 5 days of paid sickness • Flexible work schedule • Mentorship • Friendly and young team
