Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst to sit between business needs and technical
delivery — gathering and shaping requirements, translating them into clear specifications, and driving execution alongside product, engineering, and QA. This is a hands-on, technically fluent role for someone who takes ownership end to end and thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving, MVP-stage work.
You’ll join a delivery team building a compliance and operations platform for a remote online-learning environment. The platform gives the organization a reliable way to record, track, and prove that recurring student wellness checks happened — maintaining an auditable record, surfacing students who were not seen, and supporting escalation when follow-up is required. The MVP is time-sensitive and must be production-ready ahead of an upcoming teacher-training window and operational launch, so you’ll help take it from the ground up in close collaboration with product, engineering, QA, delivery, and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
— At least 3 years as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
— Strong technical background, with hands-on exposure to engineering or product
management.
— Excellent written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
— Sharp analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
— Proficiency with requirements-management tools such as JIRA.
— Experience preparing presentations, mockups, diagrams, and technical documents.
— Experience establishing SDLC processes to deliver on time, on budget, and to a high
standard.
— Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving, MVP-stage environments with strong
ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
— Requirement gathering — gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and
technical requirements.
— Technical communication — translate requirements into clear specifications for the
development team.
— Business analysis — develop business cases, run cost-benefit analysis, and quantify
project value.
— Technical design — produce process flows, site maps, UI workflows, and other key
specifications.
— Insights generation — use user interviews, workflow analysis, and data to produce
actionable insights.
— Project management — coordinate schedules, resources, and stakeholders across the
delivery lifecycle.
— Risk management — identify risks and constraints early and develop mitigation
strategies.
— Progress monitoring — track progress and adapt plans as requirements change.
— Process & reporting — build the processes, metrics, and dashboards that keep
delivery on track and stakeholders informed.
Preferred Qualifications:
— Knowledge of the Learning Management System (LMS) domain.
— Experience with compliance, audit, or regulated-workflow platforms.
— Familiarity with edtech or student-support operations.
