We are looking for a Head of Engineering for a fast-growing live streaming/creator economy product company developing streaming platforms, creator tools, overlays, and AI-assisted workflows. The company has been on the market for around 8–9 years and is currently actively scaling engineering processes, AI adoption, and product delivery.
Project — is a live streaming and creator economy platform focused on streaming products, creator tools, overlays, real-time engagement solutions, and AI-assisted workflows for gaming and creator-focused audiences.
The company operates fully remotely with team members mainly located in Germany, Austria, and Ghana. The culture is product-oriented, startup-like, fast-moving, and strongly connected to gaming and streaming domains.
Must have: * Proven experience in Head of Engineering / Engineering Manager / Technical Leadership roles. * Strong people management and engineering organization leadership experience. * Experience scaling engineering teams and improving development processes. * Product mindset and ability to work closely with product/business stakeholders. * Experience working in startup, scale-up, fast-moving, and changing environments. * Strong communication and autonomous decision-making skills. * Technical background with modern web technologies and cloud systems. * Fluent English.
Good to have: * Experience driving AI adoption or AI-assisted workflows. * Gaming/streaming/creator economy affinity. * Experience in streaming, gaming, creator economy, or real-time products. * Understanding of scalable distributed systems and real-time infrastructure.
Responsibilities: * Lead and manage engineering organization of around 20 engineers across 3 teams. * Improve engineering processes, delivery speed, and team performance. * Drive AI adoption and AI-assisted engineering workflows internally. * Increase engineering productivity and development velocity. * Work closely with product and engineering teams on execution and prioritization. * Support product-to-engineering decision making. * Help scale the engineering organization while maintaining a startup culture. * Manage engineering communication, collaboration, and team culture. * Support hiring, mentorship, and engineering growth initiatives.
