Location: Remote Type: Full-time Language Requirements: English (Ukrainian)About the Project We are developing HopHop, an open-source DECT NR+ communication stack written in Rust designed for resilient IoT networks and mid-range radio deployments.
The stack is built on Ariel OS, a Rust-based operating system for constrained devices, and is developed iteratively — from low-level radio and protocol functionality to full networking capabilities and low-latency audio communication. Role You will join a distributed European engineering team working across different layers of the stack — from radio/protocol implementation to networking features and service integration.
Engineers take ownership of clearly defined technical tasks, drive them independently, and collaborate with other developers where system interfaces intersect. Participation in architecture discussions and roadmap planning is welcome but not required. Required Qualifications * Strong hands-on experience with Rust * Experience developing networked applications or communication protocols
Experience in at least one of the following areas is highly valuable: * IPv6 networking (DHCPv6, NDP, Prefix Delegation) * YANG-based management interfaces (NETCONF, RESTCONF) * Rust frameworks for PWA/web interfaces (e.g., Leptos, Yew)
Preferred Experience * Rust in no_std or embedded environments * Low-level systems programming * Contributions to open-source projects
What We Offer * Remote-first role (Ukraine) * All required development hardware provided (including devboards) * Deferment (бронювання)
