We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager who can combine deep technical expertise with strong people leadership. This is a high-impact role with significant ownership over architecture, team growth, and delivery of core platform capabilities. You will step into a visible position with immediate influence on system architecture and engineering direction.
Project — a large-scale, cloud-based SaaS platform used globally within the hospitality industry. The product powers mission-critical operations for thousands of customers and operates as a high-availability, distributed system.
Must have: * 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with increasing scope and responsibility * Proven experience as a Technical Leader or Engineering Manager * Strong mastery of data structures, algorithms, system design, and distributed architecture * Demonstrated ability to design complex, production-grade systems * Deep experience building reliable, scalable backend services * Strong production experience with modern backend technologies (technology stack flexibility is acceptable if depth is proven) * Experience with distributed systems and messaging solutions (e.g., Kafka or similar) * Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) * Strong understanding of performance, reliability, and fault tolerance principles * Ability to learn new technologies quickly and operate in evolving environments * Excellent communication skills and experience working in remote or distributed teams * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field * Upper-Intermediate English level or higher
Responsibilities: * Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers (hiring, performance management, career development) * Own end-to-end architecture and design of new and existing services * Design and build reliable, scalable, fault-tolerant systems * Contribute hands-on to coding, code reviews, and technical decision-making * Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and cross-functional engineering teams * Drive engineering best practices (CI/CD, observability, infrastructure as code) * Balance delivery speed with long-term maintainability and technical excellence * Contribute to platform strategy and long-term technology roadmap
