We’re looking for a Mobile QA Engineer to ensure the quality of our short-form drama streaming app (iOS & Android). You’ll own the testing strategy for a vertical video platform with in-app purchases, ad integrations, and a coin-based economy.
Key Requirements: 3+ years of mobile QA experience (iOS & Android); Hands-on experience testing video/streaming apps- understanding of buffering; HLS playback, frame drops, and performance metrics; Experience testing in-app purchase and subscription flows on both app stores; Familiarity with React Native / Expo-based apps and their common quirks; Comfortable using device logs (Xcode Console, Logcat) and network debugging; Tools (Charles/Proxyman); Experience with bug tracking tools (Linear, Jira, or similar); Strong understanding of mobile OS differences, device fragmentation, and; Screen-size edge cases; English — Upper-Intermediate or higher.
Will be plus: Experience with test automation frameworks (Detox, Maestro, or Appium); Familiarity with Firebase Auth, Mixpanel/AppsFlyer analytics validation; Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, EAS Build); Basic understanding of REST APIs and comfort testing backend endpoints; (Swagger/Postman); Experience with accessibility and localization testing;
What you will do: Design and execute manual and automated test plans for iOS and Android builds; Test vertical video playback (HLS/Mux streaming), subtitle rendering (SRT/VTT); And feed scrolling performance; Validate in-app purchase flows (Apple App Store & Google Play), coin; Transactions, subscriptions, and receipt validation; Test authentication flows across providers (Apple Sign-In, Google, Facebook); Verify ad integration (AppLovin MAX) and reward mechanics (daily rewards; Ad-based earnings); Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across episodes, series; Watch history, and user profiles; Track and reproduce bugs with clear reproduction steps, device info, and logs; Collaborate with mobile and backend engineers on defect triage and release; Readiness;
