Newsletter Account Manager

Now we’re scaling our affiliate revenue operations and looking for a data-driven expert who can maximize profitability across our network of newsletter accounts.
Role Overview As a Newsletter Account Manager, you will oversee the daily operations, performance, and growth of multiple newsletters. Your role ensures smooth content production, strong deliverability, compliance, and subscriber satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Content Management & Production * Generate and propose accounts with a unique tone of voice and a publishing angle to ensure uniqueness and audience fit. * Coordinate with writers and designers to ensure the timely delivery of content. * Upload, format, and publish newsletters following established tone, brand voice, and quality standards. * Maintain a structured publishing schedule across multiple newsletter accounts. * Evaluate the proposed news from writers and make final decisions for the ones that fits best for account posting.
Quality Assurance * Review drafts for accuracy, readability, structure, and consistency. * Ensure proper formatting, links, images, and design elements before publishing. * Collaborate with QA specialists to ensure proper design and functionality of web pages and delivered content.
Subscriber & List Management * Import, organize, and maintain subscriber lists according to newsletter compliance guidelines. * Monitor list health (opens, clicks, unsubscribes, bounce rates). * Follow the guidelines for list cleaning and maintenance.
Accounts Maintenance * Create new newsletter accounts. * Monitor account health indicators. * Monitor payment and package upgrades. * Ensure all accounts remain compliant with newsletter rules and email marketing standards. * Maintain account updates, such as email changes, phone number, request design updates, etc.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting * Maintain the Asana task associated with the account * Track key metrics and prepare weekly performance reports. * Analyze growth trends and identify opportunities for improvement. * Recommend optimizations based on data (timing, content type, CTAs, layout improvements).
Cross-Team Collaboration * Work closely with network, design, QA, marketing, and writing teams. * Communicate with freelance writers on Upwork, Fiverr, and other platforms, to ensure timely and proper delivery.
Problem-Solving * Communicate with newsletter support when needed, with clear issue descriptions.
Requirements * Experience in marketing and communications * People management experience: leading a team of 5–10 people * English proficiency is required (written communication; occasional calls with writers) * Nice to have: experience managing social media accounts or blogs in an agency environment * Understanding of email marketing and audience segmentation principles * Basic understanding of design and visual content presentation
