Softwarium develops software solutions for customers in the United States, Canada, and EU countries across industries such as education, healthcare, energy, and security. We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and support one of our key customer projects.
Project Overview
The project for a Norwegian client focuses on building a data processing and visualization platform for the oil and energy industry. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be involved not only in day to day operations and support but also in system architecture design and implementation. The project is in an active growth and scaling phase, offering opportunities to influence technical decisions and platform evolution.
Required Skills & Experience * 5+ years of experience in DevOps roles, including 3+ years with Azure in production; * Strong experience with Azure infrastructure and services; * Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or ARM or Terraform; * Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and YAML workflows; Solid knowledge of Docker and containerization; * Scripting skills with Bash or PowerShell; Good understanding of security, networking, and autoscaling practices; * Experience configuring load balancing and routing with Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, and Load Balancer; * Experience with Disaster Recovery techniques; * Familiarity with event-driven architectures using Service Bus and Event Grid; * Experience monitoring performance and reliability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana, or other observability tools; * Ability to automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, deployments, and data synchronization; * Familiarity with MS SQL will be a plus; * Knowledge and experience with Azure Data Factory pipelines deployment will be a plus; * Knowledge of price/cost scaling and optimization in cloud environments; * Excellent communication skills and a strong automation-first mindset; * English: Upper-Intermediate or higher (fluent communication in technical discussions).
Key Responsibilities: * Support and maintain existing production environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability; * Optimize and evolve cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation-first approaches; * Set up, maintain, and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions; * Monitor and optimize cloud costs; ensure solutions are designed and operated in a cost-effective way; * Configure and support Azure networking, including VNets, VNet peering (with customer tenants), and VPN connections; * Apply and maintain security best practices related to infrastructure, networking, and access control; * Collaborate with development teams on infrastructure design, deployments, and operational improvements.
