We’re looking for a Snowflake Developer who can design scalable data architectures, optimize performance, and help shape how data is handled across our organization. If you’re passionate about Snowflake, automation, and efficient data pipelines — we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities: * Design and implement scalable and efficient data models and database structures within the Snowflake environment, including tables, views, and materialized views. * Develop, manage, and optimize robust ETL/ELT data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into Snowflake using tools like Snowpipe, streams, tasks, and third-party integrators. * Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune the performance of Snowflake queries and virtual warehouses to ensure optimal speed, concurrency, and resource utilization. * Implement and enforce comprehensive data governance and security protocols, including role-based access control (RBAC), data masking, and encryption to safeguard sensitive information. * Manage and administer the Snowflake account, focusing on cost optimization by monitoring credit consumption and implementing strategies to manage warehouse usage effectively. * Establish and maintain secure data sharing capabilities with internal and external partners, leveraging Snowflake’s native sharing features. * Automate data management tasks and database deployments using CI/CD practices and tools like dbt (data build tool) or Schema change. * Write and maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
Technical skills:
Must have * Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture (virtual warehouses, caching, storage). * Strong experience designing analytical data models (star, snowflake, etc.). * Solid background in ETL/ELT design, query tuning, and performance optimization. * Hands-on experience with RBAC, data masking, and other data security best practices. * Degree in Computer Science (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
Nice to have * Experience with modern orchestration tools like dbt, Airflow, or Dagster. * Knowledge of Snowpark for executing Python, Java, or Scala workloads in Snowflake. * Familiarity with BI platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy). * Exposure to Terraform or other IaC tools for Snowflake provisioning. * Understanding of advanced Snowflake features: Streams, Dynamic Tables, Unistore, etc. * Experience working with semi-structured data formats (e.g. JSON, Parquet, Avro). * Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core / Advanced). * Exposure to data quality and observability tools like Monte Carlo or Great Expectations. * Background in Agile/Scrum environments.
Soft skills * Strong communication and collaboration skills (English: Upper-Intermediate or higher). * Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude. * Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and in cross-functional teams.
