About the role: We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join the technology team, either as a freelancer or full-time employee. This role focuses primarily on DevOps, with the opportunity to own, optimize, and evolve cloud infrastructure and deployment processes, while also contributing to backend Python development.
Tasks: DevOps (Primary Focus). Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for Kubernetes deployments. Automate, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure and services on Azure (AKS), ensuring scalability and reliability. Guide development teams on Kubernetes and cloud-native best practices. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for Kubernetes clusters. Enforce security and compliance practices across Kubernetes cloud environments. Troubleshoot complex Azure Kubernetes infrastructure and cloud deployment issues. Backend Python (Secondary Skill). Contribute to backend development including REST-API creation, backend logic enhancement, Python microservices. Support integration of backend systems with cloud-based DevOps processes. Conduct testing and debugging for backend components.
Technical Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 5+ years in DevOps engineering with Kubernetes on major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Expert in Kubernetes (AKS), container registries (ACR), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions). Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm. Strong skills in Docker and Kubernetes orchestration. Proficient scripting skills in Python. Experience with Python backend frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, etc.). Knowledge of cloud security, compliance frameworks, identity management. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Sentinel. Involvement in ISO 27001 certification processes.
Personal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive and independent work style with project management abilities. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
