We are looking for an experienced Android developer to join a short-term project (approximately 3 months). The goal is to develop and implement a specialized Android launcher that combines several separate games into a single user experience. The work includes the integration of several game collections into one launcher with management of storage, loading, and launching of modular game content.
Responsibilities: * Design and implement an Android launcher to manage multiple game modules * Evaluate and propose the best approach to: Delivering modular content; Installing/uninstalling games; Running independent game builds * Work closely with Unreal Engine developers to ensure compatibility and seamless integration * Implement download manager, UI/UX launcher, game launch logic and local storage handling * Ensure full compliance with Google Play Store policies and technical requirements * Optimize app performance, memory usage, and content delivery
Requirements: * 4+ years of experience with Android SDK and NDK (Kotlin/Java/C++), including native code integration, APK/AAB packaging * Experience with dynamic delivery technologies such as Play Asset Delivery, Dynamic Feature Modules, split APKs, or custom CDN-based loaders * In-depth knowledge of Gradle, Android App Bundles (AAB), versioning systems, ABI/resource separation, and signing procedures * Knowledge of the Intent mechanism and interaction between Android applications (e.g., launching external APKs, managing shared resources) * Proficient in using logcat, systrace, Android Profiler and other diagnostic tools
Will be an advantage: * Basic understanding of Unreal Engine for Android (packaging, native code, deployments) * Experience with Google Play publishing, compliance policies, and licensing APIs * Experience with game launchers, content hubs, or multi-module applications * Knowledge of storing game state, progress, and settings between multiple executables
