About The Role
We’re building the AI layer of business communication — voice agents, chat agents and AI assistants that work in real customer conversations and real phone calls across 135+ countries.
You’ll join our AI Agents stream, an 8-person engineering team owning the product end to end. You’ll build the agents themselves as well as the platform behind them: skills, workflows, tools, connectors, orchestration, observability and the infrastructure that makes AI reliable, fast and measurable in production.
This is a hands-on product engineering role for someone who wants to build real AI products, not just integrate AI APIs.
What You Will Do * Build and ship AI agent features end to end — from Node.js/TypeScript services on AWS to the interfaces used to configure, test and observe agents. * Extend the AI agent platform — building skills, workflows, sandboxes, tools, connectors, tracing, audit and orchestration capabilities. * Integrate and orchestrate AI providers — LLM, STT and TTS — using prompt and context engineering, tool calling, structured outputs, streaming and robust failure handling. * Make AI quality measurable and production-ready — build evaluations, tracing and monitoring while engineering for latency, reliability, cost, privacy and security. * Drive product discovery and ownership — challenge scope, propose solutions, bring your own ideas and stay involved after release by using quality and adoption signals to iterate. * Raise the engineering bar through code reviews, architecture decisions, knowledge sharing and collaboration across the AI Agents stream.
What You Will Bring * 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience, with strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js backend skills and confidence working across the frontend with React or equivalent. * Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-powered features used by real users in production. You should be able to explain what you built, how it worked and the engineering decisions behind it. * Practical experience with AI application patterns including prompt and context engineering, tool/function calling, structured outputs, RAG, streaming and handling non-deterministic behaviour in production. * Experience making AI systems measurable and observable through evaluations, tracing, monitoring and regression detection. * Strong production AWS experience with serverless and/or containerized environments. Our stack includes Lambda/SAM, ECS, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS and OpenSearch. * Strong engineering fundamentals across REST/API design, WebSockets, SQL and NoSQL data modelling, caching, testing, CI/CD and production debugging. * A strong ownership and product mindset — you take initiative, challenge assumptions, work comfortably with ambiguity and turn ideas into shipped features rather than waiting for detailed specifications. * English B2 or above.
Bonus Points If * You’ve built agentic systems involving multi-step orchestration, tool selection, state management, guardrails or recovery from failures. * You’ve worked in security- or privacy-sensitive environments, including GDPR or ISO 27001. * You have public evidence of building for the sake of building — open-source contributions, side projects, technical writing, talks or similar. * You have experience with real-time audio and communication technologies, such as WebRTC, streaming STT/TTS or low-latency voice pipelines.

Compensation — The total compensation for this role is between EUR 48,000 and EUR 60,000 per year. The final offer will fall within this range, and reflects the candidate’s skills, experience, and work location.
