We are looking for a Senior Node.js Developer to join an international product team.
This is a backend-focused role, with the majority of the work centered around Node.js, backend services, APIs, integrations, and technical ownership. A small part of the role (approximately 10%) may involve contributing to frontend or cross-platform mobile development using React / React Native when needed.
You will work closely with the client and the product team, participate in technical and product discussions, and take ownership of solutions from design to production. Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js. * Design and build scalable REST APIs and backend integrations. * Make backend architecture and implementation decisions. * Integrate third-party APIs and services. * Take ownership of backend features from technical design through development and deployment. * Collaborate directly with the client and internal team on a daily basis. * Participate in product discussions and contribute to technical solution design. * Occasionally contribute to React / React Native development when needed (approximately 10% of the role). * Write clean, maintainable, testable code and participate in code reviews. * Use AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency and code quality. * Adapt to changing requirements and proactively identify technical challenges and improvements.
Requirements * 7+ years of commercial software development experience. * Strong senior-level commercial experience with Node.js and backend development. * Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript. * Strong understanding of backend architecture, design principles, and best practices. * Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs. * Experience with third-party API and service integrations. * Experience building and maintaining production backend systems. * Experience with React and willingness to occasionally contribute to React / React Native tasks. * Previous commercial React Native experience is a plus, but not required. * Hands-on experience with Git and version control workflows. * Ability to take ownership of technical solutions and work independently. * Strong communication skills and experience working directly with clients or product stakeholders. * Experience using AI tools in day-to-day development. * Proactive and self-driven approach, comfortable working in a dynamic product environment. * English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher.
