We are looking for an experienced Project Management Consultant with proven experience in medical device development to support our team during the Discovery phase.
This is an on-demand consulting engagement, not a full-time delivery role. Hands-on experience managing the development of medical devices, including at least one product successfully brought to production or market, is mandatory.
Previous experience taking at least one medical device from development to production/market is a mandatory requirement. General Healthcare experience without medical device development experience will not be sufficient for this role.
Responsibilities
* Consult the project team during the Discovery phase.
* Review and challenge project assumptions, scope, estimates, timelines, and delivery approach.
* Identify potential technical, delivery, compliance, and certification risks.
* Share practical lessons learned from previous medical device development projects.
* Provide recommendations on project planning, budgeting, estimation, and risk mitigation.
* Advise on collaboration between multidisciplinary teams, including Hardware, Embedded, QA, Systems/Architecture, and Compliance.
* Help the team validate the delivery strategy before the project scope, timeline, and budget are finalized.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Project Manager or Delivery Manager on complex medical device development projects.
* At least one medical device project successfully delivered to production/market.
* Practical experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Hardware, Embedded Software, QA, Systems/Architecture, and Compliance.
* Strong understanding of medical device development lifecycle, compliance, and certification processes.
* Strong expertise in project estimation, budgeting, delivery planning, timelines, dependencies, and risk management.
* Ability to critically review project plans, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations based on real-world experience.
* Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English.
