We are looking for a Senior C++ Engineer for our client, with strong experience in developing APIs, backend systems and complex software components. The engineer will work from detailed technical documentation and contribute to the development of APIs and related software components as part of a larger, highly structured project.
The project focuses on building a next-generation B2B platform, initially in the healthcare domain, involving scientific computing, API development, and AI agents. It’s a greenfield initiative with a long-term roadmap, and they’re currently assembling the core engineering team.
Location: Remote, with occasional travel for workshops/meetings.
Key Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain APIs and software components using C++. * Work on complex backend/system-level development based on existing technical documentation. * Contribute to integrations and the development of software components supporting the broader solution. * Collaborate closely with the client’s Product Owner and the Stanga1 project team. * Work independently while following clearly defined specifications, interfaces and technical requirements. * Support the initial pilot/use case and subsequent scaling of the solution.
Requirements: * Strong commercial experience with C++. * Experience developing APIs and backend/system-level software. * Experience working on complex or large-scale software projects. * Ability to understand and work from detailed technical documentation. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Good English communication skills. * Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the client and project team.
Nice to Have * Experience with Fortran or Julia * Experience with LLM-based systems, AI agents or AI-related software development. * Experience in Healthcare or other regulated/complex industries. * Experience working in a distributed development environment. * Willingness to travel to Bulgaria, particularly during the initial project/pilot phase, when closer collaboration with the client’s team may be required.
