We are looking for an experienced Design System (Figma) Expert to join a large-scale digital project for a global client.
You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and evolving a scalable design system in Figma, working closely with the Tech Lead, frontend developers, and other project stakeholders to ensure consistency between design and implementation.
This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong Figma and design-system expertise with a solid understanding of modern frontend development and the practical implementation of reusable UI components.
Responsibilities: * Build, structure, and maintain a scalable Design System in Figma * Create and manage reusable components, variants, patterns, and templates * Establish and maintain design tokens, styles, variables, typography, colors, spacing, grids, and other UI foundations * Organize and maintain Figma component libraries * Ensure consistency and scalability across the product’s digital experiences * Define clear usage guidelines and documentation for design-system components * Collaborate closely with frontend developers to ensure accurate translation of Figma designs into production-ready UI * Work with the Tech Lead to align the design system with the technical implementation * Review implemented components and identify inconsistencies between design and development * Support the creation and evolution of responsive and accessible UI patterns * Contribute to design-system governance, standards, and best practices * Help identify opportunities to improve reusability, consistency, and efficiency across the project * Communicate design decisions clearly to designers, developers, and other stakeholders
Requirements: * 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX, Product Design, Design Systems, or a related field * Strong hands-on experience with Figma * Proven experience building, maintaining, or significantly contributing to design systems * Strong knowledge of: * Figma Components * Variants * Auto Layout * Variables * Styles * Libraries * Design tokens * Responsive design * Experience creating reusable and scalable UI patterns * Strong understanding of modern web design principles * Experience working directly with frontend developers and technical teams * Very good communication skills in English
Nice to Have: * Good understanding of HTML and CSS * Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React, JavaScript, or component-based UI development * Experience with enterprise-scale or large digital platforms * Experience working with Drupal / Acquia or similar CMS environments * Experience with React component libraries or Storybook * Experience working with design tokens and their connection to code * Understanding of accessibility standards and WCAG * Experience with design-system documentation and governance * Experience working in large distributed or international teams

We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience building and managing design systems, understands how components should be structured for scalability, and can work effectively with frontend developers to bridge the gap between Figma and production.
You should be comfortable taking ownership of the design-system area, making decisions, establishing standards, and ensuring that the design and development teams work from a consistent and reusable foundation.
