Complex healthcare operations — think billing cycles, inventory across multiple warehouses, field dispatching, and patient resupply — all running inside one platform. The software handles mission-critical workflows for Durable Medical Equipment and Home Medical Equipment providers, where a clunky interface or a missed edge case has real consequences. The design team is small and deliberate: two designers focused entirely on making dense, rules-heavy workflows feel clean and fast. The next step is shifting that team toward a code-first, AI-native design process — and this role leads that shift.
A new team member will be in charge of: * Own product architecture and business analysis: partner with product managers and executive leadership to define problem statements, analyze complex business logic, and map non-linear software workflows. * Define edge cases, data constraints, and business rules early — before any visual interface work begins. * Drive the team’s transition away from static Figma files toward a Claude Code / AI-assisted component workflow. * Build and refine features directly using functional code components, design systems, and modern AI development environments. * Establish best practices for AI integration, continuous delivery, and clean handoffs between product, design, and engineering. * Streamline communication to eliminate project delays, task postponements, and endless revision loops. * Lead by example — collaborating with and mentoring mid-level designers on business analysis, system thinking, and AI-driven design workflows. * Shape delivery ownership and process discipline with an immediate track to step into formal team leadership.
Does this relate to you? * 7+ years of product design experience in complex B2B SaaS or enterprise software — you think like a product manager and build like an engineer. * Hands-on experience working with LLM-assisted workflows (Claude Code, AI pair programming tools) and front-end code structures (React, Tailwind, HTML/CSS, etc.). * Track record of improving design operations, setting quality standards, and shipping features predictably on deadline. * Ability to translate complex domain rules into intuitive, component-based design architectures.
