We are seeking a Multimedia Engineer for a long-term, full-time, remote project to join our engineering team, working on advanced audio/video streaming solutions for embedded platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with GStreamer and a deep understanding of multimedia systems, media pipelines, and streaming technologies.
Technical Requirements — 5+ years of software development experience in multimedia, embedded, or system-level environments — Hands-on experience with GStreamer (must-have), including: — building and debugging media pipelines — working with plugins, elements, pads, and caps — troubleshooting performance, latency, and synchronization issues — Good programming skills in C++ — Experience with audio and video streaming technologies (RTP, RTSP, WebRTC, etc.) — Understanding of video and audio codecs (H.264, H.265, AAC, Opus, etc.) — Experience with Video4Linux (V4L2) — Experience with Embedded Linux and/or Embedded Android — Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP, UDP, HTTP) — Experience debugging issues across different software layers — Experience working with Git — Strong problem-solving and communication skills
