We are looking for an experienced Magento 2 Developer to redesign and implement our new eShop. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Magento front-end development, custom theme creation, UX implementation, multi-store structures, and integration with existing Magento modules and external services.
Responsibilities * Develop a fully responsive, modern Magento 2 theme based on our new UX/UI design system. * Convert Figma/Adobe/XD files into clean, optimized front-end code. * Customize Magento templates, layout XML, PHTML, and UI Components (Knockout.js). * Ensure consistent UX and styling across all store views. * Implement best practices for performance, Core Web Vitals, and fast load times. * Integrate with existing checkout, payment providers (Adyen, etc.), and custom modules. * Ensure compatibility with a multi-store, multi-language, multi-currency setup. * Implement reusable styling/components to support future expansions. * Perform QA, debugging, and fixes prior to production release. * Provide technical documentation and handover to the internal development team. * Participate in weekly syncs with product, UX, and engineering stakeholders.
Requirements * 4+ years of hands-on Magento 2 experience (front-end required; back-end is a strong advantage). * Proven experience creating custom Magento 2 themes from scratch. * Strong knowledge of: * HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery * Knockout.js & Magento UI Components * LESS / SASS * Magento layout XML & PHTML templates * Experience with complex multi-store setups. * Experience with checkout customizations and 3rd-party payment integrations. * Familiarity with performance optimization, caching layers (Fastly/Varnish), and SEO. * Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines. * Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a distributed team.
Nice to Have (Advantages) * Adobe Commerce Cloud experience. * Experience with Fastly VCL, WAF rules, and edge performance tuning. * Familiarity with New Relic performance monitoring. * Understanding of eCommerce UX, CRO, and storefront performance best practices. * Ability to suggest improvements based on industry trends.
