Poklyk is a product company specializing in developing and advancing our web and mobile applications, Orderry and RO App, designed for SME automation. Our services empower businesses to streamline processes and embrace a more technological approach.
We’re looking for a Middle General QA Engineer who takes genuine ownership of quality within a dedicated product team. This isn’t a role about running scripts and filing tickets — you’ll be the person your team turns to when something doesn’t feel right, proactively shaping how quality is built into the product rather than bolted on at the end.
You’ll split your time between hands-on manual testing and automation — writing and extending tests within our existing Playwright (Python) framework, and working closely with the Automation QA team on anything more complex.
Required Skills: * At least 2 years of experience as a General QA * Strong experience creating test cases, checklists, and bug reports * Experience with Playwright * Knowledge of Python and Pytest * Experience writing API tests (requests/httpx + pytest or Playwright) * Deep understanding of test case design techniques * Experience with Testomat or any other test management tool * Understanding of UI/API automated testing basics and Page Object Model * Experience in maintaining existing and writing new automated tests * Ability to investigate issues independently using browser devtools, logs, and API tools * Hands-on experience with Linux * Comfort working closely with developers and product managers in a cross-functional team — including pushing back when quality risks are high
Nice to have: * Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins * Knowledge of SQL
Responsibilities: * Participate in regression testing * Own quality within your product team — define what “ready to ship” looks like and hold that bar * Proactively identify gaps in test coverage and propose process improvements before they become incidents * Act as the quality voice during planning and grooming sessions, raising risks early * Create and maintain test documentation * Report bugs, verify fixes, and monitor feature stability after release — initiating follow-up when needed * Investigate defects using logs, APIs, and technical analysis * Create new automated tests based on stable manual test cases * Analyze failed automated tests, identify root causes, and resolve straightforward issues independently * Collaborate with the Automation QA team on more complex automation tasks, acting as a bridge between your product team and the AQA department
What we offer: * Official employment with all the accompanying benefits. * Direct involvement in product development, as we discuss each improvement proposal with the entire team. * The opportunity to work with one of the leading IT companies in business automation, which is recognized as essential to the Ukrainian economy. * Flexible working arrangements, whether hybrid or fully remote. * 18 vacation days, 10 days off, and paid sick leave. * Access to English language courses for professional growth. * Reimbursement for professional development activities, including courses, webinars, and related resources.
Hiring process: * Intro call with a recruiter (30 min) * Pre-interview with Team Lead and AQA Engineer (30 min) * Technical Interview with Team Lead and AQA Engineer (1.5 h) * Offer from Poklyk
