We are looking for an IFRS Accounting Team Lead who will ensure IFRS-compliant accounting operations for Room 8 Group’s legal entities, oversee day-to-day accounting processes, and lead the accounting team. Superpowers you have: * 5+ years of experience in IFRS accounting. * 3+ years of experience working in large international groups as a Chief Accountant, IFRS Team Lead, or as an Auditor in a Big Four firm. * 2+ years of people management experience. * Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting and financial reporting standards. * DipIFR or ACCA qualification is preferred. * Higher education degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. * English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher. * Detail-oriented, responsible, and highly accurate in work. * Strong team player with excellent communication skills. * Confident user of MS Office Excel.
You’re a rockstar if you have: * Work experience with Xero, Microsoft Dynamics 365
Becoming part of Room 8 Group, you will: * Manage and supervise the IFRS Accounting Team (4 subordinates) * Conduct accounting under IFRS for complex transactions and intra-group transactions (business acquisitions, consolidations, financial statement disclosures, etc.) * Perform period-end closing procedures * Partner with the Audit & Compliance Manager to ensure IFRS, GAAP and Tax compliance * Supervise the preparation of standalone financial statements for all legal entities within the Group. Submit to external auditors * Prepare the consolidated financial statements of the Group (annually, full package under IFRS). Respond to external auditors’ requests * Leading further improvements and automations of accounting processes * Perform other operational accounting-related tasks
