Weʼre looking for a talented QA Automation AI Native Engineer to join our R&D group. As an integral part of the team, you will play a key role in enhancing and scaling our automation infrastructure, bringing Firefly’s automation framework to the next level. Your responsibilities will include designing automated tests to ensure optimal product quality and health, identifying and troubleshooting bugs, and closely collaborating with our software design and platform teams. In this unique R&D role, you will be at the forefront of our next-generation AI Agentic tech, cloud-based solutions, taking on challenges related to performance, scalability, and availability in multi-cloud environments. You will work with cutting-edge services and tools, driving innovation across our systems and development lifecycle. Key Requirements: At least 4 years of experience in Python within an automation framework API or Backend focused); Hands-on experience working with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot as part of your daily workflow; Self-driven and responsible, with a "can-doˮ attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication abilities; Previous experience in a SaaS company, with a strong understanding of cloud-based testing and tooling. At least one of the following: — Experience in cloud infrastructure: AWS, GCP or Azure. — Experience working with relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (Mongo) databases. — Experience working with message queues and event driven architecture. — DevOps practices and technologies such as Terraform, K8s, VCS providers and CI systems English — Upper-Intermediate or higher.
What you will do: Operate within an agile R&D team, owning the automation framework that validates the platform end to end; Design and maintain spec-driven API tests that keep pace with evolving product APIs; Shape how we work with modern AI tooling — coding agents, agent skills, and MCP; integrations — embedding it into the pipeline (e.g. AI-assisted failure triage); Build and scale CI/CD for high-throughput, parallelized testing across environments; Deliver safe multi-region, multi-tenant testing; Provision ephemeral test environments as infrastructure-as-code; Own test-suite reliability and security: secret hygiene, dependency integrity, fail-closed gates, and clear reporting; Make it easy for developers to contribute tests through reusable patterns, scaffolding, and docs.
