About the Role
We are looking for a QA / Test Manual Engineer for a UAV platform that includes an operator application, backend services, flight software, a simulation environment, onboard hardware, and integrations between all parts of the system.
The role involves testing the full product cycle: from drone configuration and hardware preparation to drone control through the operator application. We are looking for an engineer whose primary focus will be manual testing of complex end-to-end scenarios across software and hardware components. As the platform matures, there will be opportunities to contribute to test automation and quality tooling.
Responsibilities * Test the full end-to-end cycle of the UAV platform. * Validate flight logic: mission execution, waypoint navigation, target tracking, takeoff, landing, emergency scenarios, and edge cases. * Perform testing in a simulation environment and participate in field tests with real devices. * Take part in preparing and validating hardware components: assembly, connection, initial diagnostics, and readiness checks before testing. * Analyze logs, telemetry, and results of test runs. * Investigate, reproduce, and document issues found during testing. * Contribute to test plans, regression suites, and acceptance criteria.
Required Experience * Experience in manual QA for complex distributed applications deployed in on-premises environments. * Understanding of client-server applications, APIs, and integration testing. * Confident use of Linux, CLI, logs, and basic development tools. * Experience with Azure DevOps or another task tracking system. * Experience using AI agents in the workflow: Claude, Codex, or similar tools.
Nice to Have * Experience with test automation in Python or another programming language. * Experience testing simulators or motion control systems. * Experience in drones, robotics, embedded systems, automotive, simulation, computer vision, industrial automation, or other hardware-oriented systems, including hands-on work with device assembly, integration, diagnostics, and validation. * Experience with containers and CI/CD. * Experience working with onboard electronics, sensors, cameras, controllers, power systems, and field diagnostics.
What We Offer * A diverse role with modern technologies in the rapidly growing drone industry. * Direct involvement in real-world testing and demonstrations. * Opportunities for professional growth, training, and career development.
