The Role As the Payment Partnerships & PSP Manager, your primary objective is to lead the acquisition and management of our Merchant ID (MID) portfolio. You will act as the architect of our acquiring layer, overseeing the entire lifecycle of merchant accounts—from initial sourcing and relationship building to navigating complex onboarding processes and ensuring successful MID activation.
Key Responsibilities 1. Acquirer Sourcing & External Partnerships * Strategic Sourcing: Identify and vet new acquiring banks and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) that support global subscription-based business models. * Banking Infrastructure: Form and maintain relationships with commercial banks to facilitate the opening of corporate accounts and gather necessary KYB documentation. * Networking & Outreach: Proactively source new payment partners through industry networks and direct outreach to financial institutions.
2. Onboarding & KYB Management * Application Management: Lead the end-to-end application process, including the preparation and submission of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documentation for various legal entities. * Document Governance: Organize and update corporate document packs (UBO details, certificates of incorporation) to ensure all applications are “submission-ready” at any time. * Funnel Optimization: Maintain a real-time status log of all pending and active MIDs to identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the onboarding funnel.
3. Relationship & Capacity Management * Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for bank agents and PSP account managers to expedite approvals and negotiate competitive commercial terms. * Redundancy Planning: Maintain a robust pipeline of available MIDs to ensure the business has redundant processing capacity and a diversified risk profile.
4. Compliance & MID Maintenance * Adherence Support: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all websites and legal entities comply with specific acquirer requirements and card scheme rules (Visa/Mastercard). * Performance Monitoring: Communicate with acquirers regarding transaction performance, technical queries, or periodic account reviews to ensure long-term MID health.
Requirements * Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in merchant acquisition or PSP onboarding, specifically within high-volume digital sectors. * Network: A strong, existing network of contacts within the global high-risk and mid-risk acquiring space. * Communication: Exceptional ability to manage professional relationships and negotiations effectively via Telegram and email. * Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of card scheme rules, regional acquiring nuances (EU, LatAm, SEA), and legal entity structures. * Operational Autonomy: A “Unit of One” mindset—the ability to manage high volumes of administrative tasks and documentation independently while staying organized at scale.
What We Offer * Competitive Compensation: Attractive salary with a bonus structure directly tied to performance results. * Global Impact: The opportunity to build and manage a worldwide network of financial partners for a diverse range of digital products. * Agile Environment: A streamlined, entrepreneurial culture with minimal management layers and direct reporting to executive leadership for rapid decision-making. * Specialized Focus: A role entirely dedicated to acquisition, allowing you to concentrate your efforts on high-level bank relationships and account approvals.
