We are looking for a Backend Developer with 3+ years of commercial experience, preferably in the iGaming industry.
Requirements: ● Strong knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals and solid production experience with TypeScript; ● Hands-on experience with NestJS (or another modern Node.js framework), with a willingness to work extensively with NestJS; ● Good understanding of software design patterns, dependency injection, and modular architecture; ● Experience working with PostgreSQL (or another relational database), including data modeling, indexing, query optimization, execution plans, transactions, and isolation levels; ● Experience with MongoDB or another NoSQL database; ● Strong understanding of REST API design, including pagination, versioning, error handling, and backward compatibility; ● Professional experience with Git and Docker; ● Experience with microservices; ● Experience in casino game development, including game logic, bonus mechanics, RNG integration, and backend services supporting online slot games; ● English — Upper-Intermediate.
Responsibilities: ● Develop and maintain backend services for online casino games using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS; ● Design, implement, and support new game features, including bonus mechanics, free spins, jackpots, and promotional functionality; ● Build and maintain REST APIs for communication between game clients, back-office systems, and external platforms; ● Design and optimize PostgreSQL and MongoDB schemas, queries, and indexes to ensure high performance; ● Develop and maintain microservices that support game functionality and platform services; ● Integrate games with internal platform services and third-party casino operators; ● Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established coding standards and best practices; ● Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall code quality and architecture; ● Troubleshoot production issues, investigate bugs, and implement reliable solutions; ● Collaborate closely with Frontend Developers, QA Engineers, Game Producers, and Product Managers to deliver high-quality game features; ● Contribute to the continuous improvement of the backend architecture, development processes, and technical documentation.
Would be a plus: ● Understanding of the architecture of online casino games and the interaction between the game client and backend services; ● Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines; ● Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
