We are looking for an Audit / Financial Reporting Specialist to join our tax-legal team.
This is a role for a person who is strong in audit, accounting, and financial reporting and is ready to do a lot of hands-on work.
The specialist will work inside the legal / tax-legal department, but the main focus of the role will be audit and financial reporting: preparing files for auditors, checking accounting data, working with financial statements, reconciliations, audit requests, and supporting documents.
We need someone who can not only coordinate the process, but also do the work personally: open the accounting data, check the numbers, prepare reconciliations, prepare explanations, collect documents, draft working files, and follow the audit until completion.
What you will do:
• Work with accounting data: trial balances, general ledgers, journal entries, turnovers, balances, bank statements, invoices, contracts, and supporting documents.
• Prepare audit files and supporting documents for external auditors.
• Prepare reconciliations, schedules, explanations, confirmations, and working papers.
• Help prepare management accounts, reporting packages, and draft financial statements.
• Check whether transactions are correctly reflected in accounting and reporting.
• Check P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, notes, related-party balances, receivables, payables, loans, revenue, expenses, provisions, and other reporting areas.
• Review financial statements and audit comments from external auditors.
• Respond to audit requests and communicate with auditors, accountants, finance, legal, tax, and external consultants.
• Find errors, missing documents, inconsistencies, unreconciled balances, unusual transactions, and weak points in accounting or reporting.
• Explain clearly what the issue is, what needs to be corrected, and what documents are needed.
• Track audit statuses, open points, deadlines, and next steps in Jira or other trackers.
• Help improve audit checklists, working files, templates, and internal processes.
Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience in external audit, financial reporting, accounting, financial control, or a similar role.
• Good understanding of accounting, audit, and financial statements.
• Ability to work hands-on with accounting data and documents.
• Experience with trial balances, general ledgers, journal entries, reconciliations, audit files, and financial statements.
• Understanding of IFRS or experience with international financial reporting.
• Ability to prepare working papers, reconciliations, schedules, and explanations for auditors.
• Experience communicating with external auditors.
• Good English is required: ability to read and write audit correspondence, explanations, financial statements, and accounting documents.
• Advanced Excel: pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, comparison of large data sets.
• Attention to detail and ability to find mistakes in numbers, documents, and accounting logic.
• Ability to explain financial/accounting issues in simple language to lawyers, finance, and management.
• Readiness to work independently and do routine hands-on work, not only manage or delegate tasks.
Nice to have:
• Experience in Big 4 or another audit firm.
• ACCA / CPA / DipIFR or ongoing studies.
• Experience with IFRS financial statements.
• Experience with international groups, holding companies, or intercompany transactions.
• Experience with related-party transactions, transfer pricing, CFC, or tax-related audit issues.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Power BI, Power Query, Jira, or Confluence.
• Experience preparing audit packs, management accounts, reporting packages, or consolidation support files.
Important for this role:
This is not a legal role and not a pure coordination role.
The person will be part of the legal / tax-legal department, but we need an audit and financial reporting specialist who is ready to work with accounting and audit materials directly.
The key expectation is hands-on work: checking numbers, preparing files, reconciling balances, collecting documents, answering audit questions, and helping bring audits and financial statements to completion.
We Offer: * Learning & Development center with courses for employees and top managers. * Rotation program. * Paid leave and sick days. * Access to a self-learning library and paid courses. * Stable compensation. * Flexible schedule and remote work options. * Group discussions and individual sessions with a psychologist.
