Ciklum is looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:
As a Senior Python Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
The team is focused on extending a leading digital consumer experience beyond its core application and onto external platforms such as WhatsApp, voice assistants, and emerging AI-powered assistants. The goal is to meet customers where they already are, enabling seamless interactions through conversational and agent-driven experiences. Whether a user wants to reorder a favorite meal via a messaging app, use a voice assistant to arrange dinner, or delegate ordering to a personal AI assistant, we are building the infrastructure that powers these experiences across multiple channels while maintaining a consistent, high-quality user experience. We are looking for a backend-focused engineer with demonstrated experience building and operating scalable systems in AWS. While experience with Python is strongly preferred, candidates with substantial Kotlin/JVM backend expertise and strong AWS knowledge will also be considered.

Responsibilities: * Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver new products and features * Expand existing solutions into new markets and support the integration of large-scale international platforms and operations * Participate in agile development processes and contribute to technical decision-making * Work closely with non-technical stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and priorities * Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to various audiences * Take ownership of the services and components you develop, ensuring their reliability, scalability, and performance * Manage project timelines and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment * Continuously invest in your professional growth and contribute to a culture of learning and improvement
Requirements: * Strong professional experience with Python (preferred) or Kotlin/JVM * Deep backend engineering expertise, including designing, building, and operating production-grade services at scale * Hands-on expertise with AWS serverless technologies, including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, CloudWatch) * Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and service reliability * Experience working collaboratively within agile engineering teams
