We are looking for a strong QA Engineer to join The Tongue Teacher, a HealthTech / EdTech product for orthodontists and patients.
The product includes a web platform, a custom CMS, and native mobile applications for iOS and Android. We are not looking for someone who only checks screens against designs. We need a QA Engineer who can understand complex product workflows, identify risk areas, design meaningful test scenarios, and help us build a reliable QA process. About the product The Tongue Teacher helps orthodontic professionals educate, guide, and follow patients through specific treatment-related workflows. The system includes patient invitations, mobile app onboarding, self-assessment flows, reminders, notifications, and doctor-facing web tools. What we expect from you We need someone who can understand the context in which the software is used, define relevant test scenarios, challenge edge cases, and communicate clearly with developers and the PM. Responsibilities * Test complex user workflows across web and mobile applications. * Create and maintain automated tests, especially for web workflows using Playwright or similar tools. * Test native iOS and Android applications across a reasonable range of devices and screen sizes. * Validate notifications, reminders, onboarding flows, patient states, and doctor-facing workflows. * Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar. * Work with logs, payloads, database states, and backend responses when needed. * Collaborate with developers, DevOps, CTO, and PM to reproduce, document, and prioritize bugs. * Help improve QA documentation, test plans, release checklists, and regression strategy. * Support the implementation of static code analysis and quality tools in collaboration with the technical team. * Identify edge cases and risk areas before they become production issues.
Required skills * Strong experience in test design, test scenarios, and bug analysis. * Experience with automated testing. * Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools. * Good understanding of web applications and client-server architecture. * Experience with API testing. * Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android. * Ability to work with different user states, roles, permissions, and workflows. * Strong attention to detail and strong analytical thinking. * Ability to communicate clearly with developers and project managers. * English: at least intermediate level for documentation and team communication.
