General QA Engineer in Email Team Location: Remote
Your expertise: * Experience in software testing 3+ years * Good knowledge of SDLC and Scrum / Kanban methodologies * Good theoretical background (e.g. testing types and approaches, test design techniques, etc) * Experience in writing and maintaining test documentation (bug reports, test cases, checklists) and bug-tracking systems * Experience in Web application testing * Experience in REST API testing * Experience in requirement analysis * Experience with bug-tracking systems (Jira) * Experience with Git, CI / CD * Experience with automation using JS / TS programming languages * Experience with testing tools stack (e.g. Postman, Browser Dev tools, etc.) * Experience with log monitoring systems (e.g. Kibana / OpenSearch) * Knowledge of SQL scripting and database structure * English Intermediate or higher * Strong soft skills
Will definitely be a plus: * Knowledge and understanding of how email services work * Knowledge and understanding of how DNS systems work * Knowledge of AWS cloud systems * Experience using AI tools (e.g. Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to help with test cases, test data, and documentation. * Ability to use AI to speed up routine QA tasks — writing and checking bug reports, generating automation tests etc * Personal skills: * Responsible * Proactive * Good communication skills * Team player * Willing to improve professional knowledge * Analytical mindset * Attention to details

The Email Team manages 2 products. The Namecheap Private Email is a cloud-based, open-source collaboration platform that meets all necessary email, calendar, contacts, task management, and document storage needs.
However, most of the time is devoted to developing a new email product, Spacemail, from scratch. This is a secure email service for the customer’s domain.
