We are looking for a PHP Developer to join our backend team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend of our products (API, CLI tools, admin panels), with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and clean architecture.
The role involves close collaboration with frontend developers, QA, and DevOps, as well as active participation in technical discussions and sprint planning.
A significant part of the work is related to billing systems, integrations with payment providers, and marketing experiments, so experience in complex business logic is important. What you’ll do: * Develop and maintain backend components of our products (API, CLI, admin panels) using PHP (Symfony). * Design and implement backend services with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. * Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and DevOps on API design, requirements clarification, and implementation details. * Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code. * Participate in code reviews and refactoring initiatives. * Fix bugs and reduce technical debt. * Work with high-load systems and optimize performance. * Participate in sprint planning, daily meetings, and the full development lifecycle.
What’s required: * 3+ years of commercial PHP development experience. * Experience with modern PHP frameworks; Symfony is strongly preferred. * Experience with high-load or complex backend systems. * Solid knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL). * Experience building REST APIs; GraphQL experience is a plus. * Experience working with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, NSQ, etc.), with an understanding of where and why they should be used. * Experience integrating with external APIs. * Confident working with Unix-like operating systems. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-have: * Experience integrating with payment providers (PayPal, Stripe, Solidgate, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.). * Understanding of subscription lifecycles in SaaS products and 3DS flows. * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP). * Familiarity with marketing and analytics tools (Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel). * Domain experience in fintech, edTech, gaming, or dating products.
