We are looking for a Java Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to join our team!
What You Will Do: * Develop and maintain backend services using Java 17 and Spring Boot (core focus). * Design and implement REST APIs and integrations with external services. * Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and manage schema changes. * Collaborate on frontend features using React where needed. * Occasionally contribute to Node.js-based services. * Work with modern development tools and explore AI-powered features as part of the product. * Improve and refactor existing code, resolve issues, and support system stability.
Who You Are: * Backend-oriented engineer with solid Java experience and interest in full-stack development. * 2+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot (or hands-on experience with Node.js with a willingness to learn and work with Java). * Good understanding of backend fundamentals: REST APIs, integrations, relational databases. * Experience writing clean, maintainable code and basic testing (unit/integration). * Basic experience with React and modern frontend concepts (TypeScript, components, hooks). * Willingness to work across the stack when needed, with a primary focus on backend. * Interest in modern development approaches, including AI-powered tools and workflows. * Openness to occasionally working with Node.js-based services. * Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. * English level — Upper-Intermediate and higher.
Will be a plus: * Availability to work in late evening hours on a regular basis. * Experience with Node.js. * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or similar). * Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts or hands-on experience with AI tools.
About The Project: EdTech, a SaaS platform to manage after-school activities. The product covers parent communication and reporting in one system.
