GTO LAB is focused on enhancing poker learning through digital content. Our project directly engages poker enthusiasts, providing them with valuable insights and learning resources. * Team: Part of the remote in-house team. * Work conditions: 5 days/week, remote, flexible working hours. * Type of engagement: PE contract.
Tasks * Design and implementation of scalable and compatible applications/features and related automation and infrastructure. * Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance software features, focusing on backend and frontend integration, and large amounts of data processing. * Be an active team player within a multinational team.
Must-Have Skills * 5+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on web projects. * Expertise in: Next.js, Node.js, SQL. * Asynchronous programming, stream processing. * Experience with handling substantial SQL / JSON datasets. * Comprehensive understanding of both front-end and back-end development. * Design-oriented programming experience.
As a Plus Skills * Experience in DevOps practices and tools, like infrastructure, containerisation and orchestration management (e.g. Terraform, Docker). * Experience with Google Cloud Platform. * Familiarity with the poker industry, poker GTO solvers or a strong interest in developing poker-related software. * Quick learner, able to adapt and research new technologies. * AI-Native Workflow: Daily use of AI coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude, to speed up development. Focus is on faster shipping. * Prompt Engineering: Ability to create prompts to generate, refactor, and debug code effectively. * System-Level Debugging: Capability to diagnose subtle bugs in AI-generated code that AI tools fail to detect. * AI Ethics & Security: Understanding of model failure modes, data privacy, and mitigation of bias.
