The Role The challenge here isn’t just writing code; it’s architecting the secure data layer that allows major banks and fintechs to exchange financial data in real time. You will own enterprise-grade features from the database schema to the frontend exposure, ensuring the infrastructure behind Israel’s open banking ecosystem remains resilient and scalable. About the Product The platform operates as a shared Open Data infrastructure powering payments, loans, and financial products for leading banks and insurers. The company has moved past the early-stage chaos into active sales growth with major institutions already in production. The focus now is scaling the enterprise side and building new product layers on top of the core platform, operating on an Israeli work week (Sunday—Thursday).
Technology Stack: The environment is built on a modern Python and Django foundation, utilizing Celery for asynchronous task processing and PostgreSQL for complex data modeling. The system runs on Kubernetes (AWS), incorporating AWS Lambda for serverless workloads and OpenShift for specific enterprise deployments. The stack is clean, devoid of significant legacy debt, and architectural decisions remain open for senior-level influence. What You’ll Be Doing * Architect and ship core open finance features end-to-end, maintaining ownership from data ingestion to API surface * Design and operate high-throughput data pipelines that move sensitive financial data across the ecosystem * Define architectural patterns and frameworks, setting the standard for how the entire engineering team builds * Lead the migration and development of event-driven microservices to support expanding enterprise requirements * Mentor junior developers and elevate the bar for code quality, testing, and modern engineering practices * Manage the full production lifecycle of your services, including deployment, monitoring, and incident response
What We Expect Must-have * 5+ years of full-stack experience with a deep understanding of the journey from SQL to frontend * 4+ years of Python in production, specifically within the Django and Celery ecosystem * Proven track record with production Kubernetes (AWS or OpenShift) and PostgreSQL schema optimization * Expertise in REST API design and building event-driven microservices * Hands-on experience with React in production * Fluent English (C1+) for daily collaboration with the Israeli product team
Nice to have * Specific experience with OpenShift or Oracle for legacy banking integrations * Background in fintech, banking, or the open finance domain * Familiarity with Node.js for specialized services and a strong “you ship it, you own it” DevOps mindset
Why This Role Is Worth Your Time * Infrastructure at Scale: You are building tools used by major financial institutions in production, not just building prototypes or internal demos * Radical Ownership: This is a true full-stack role where SQL, backend, frontend, and infrastructure are part of your daily creative domain * Direction Setting: As a senior hire, you arrive at a time when you can still shape the frameworks and patterns the team will use for years * Elite Small Team: Benefit from the high density of talent in a small, sharp team where there is a clear path toward leadership
