Here at Master of Code Global (MOCG) we are expanding our Design community of experts and looking for a UI/UX specialist to join the E-commerce Product team. We are developing hiqh-quality Shopify Apps which are being used by thousands of end customers to increase their stores profitability. What We Value in a New Master * 4+ years of experience in a commercial UX Designer position with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills. * Experience with a comprehensive range of design activities, such as user journey mapping, personas, user flow creation, etc. * Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma (mandatory) or similar. * Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite overall and Photoshop basic usage specifically. * Familiarity with GPT AI tools and their application in design processes. * Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and usability best practices. * Upper-Intermediate English proficiency is a must (position is engaged in a very active process with the North American team). * Familiarity with several popular design systems, and understanding of where it makes sense to use them. * Hands-on experience with modern AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Claude, etc.) and the ability to effectively integrate AI into design workflows, ideation, research, and prototyping processes. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to present work effectively to users and stakeholders. * Skill in giving and receiving constructive feedback to improve designs.
Nice to Have * Basic understanding of web and mobile development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). * Experience with Shopify. * Previous experience working in a design team. * Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles. * Experience with creating and maintaining design systems. * Any other design-related experience.
How You’ll Contribute * Understand the problem space: Actively look for opportunities that can increase usability and usefulness. Identify design problems and provide creative solutions to address them. * User Research: Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Translate findings into design insights that inform the design process. * Information Architecture: Create intuitive information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes that define the structure and flow of our digital products. * Visual Design: Develop visually appealing and consistent user interfaces, considering typography, color schemes, iconography, and overall aesthetics. * Interaction Design: Design interactive elements and animations that enhance the user experience and engage users effectively. * Usability Testing: Participate in usability testing and analyze results to inform design decisions. * Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other team members to ensure accurate design implementation and alignment with project goals. * Design Guidelines: Establish and maintain design guidelines and systems. * Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, and emerging technologies, and design best practices to continually improve and innovate. * Stakeholder Communication: Present designs to stakeholders and customers, effectively communicating design rationale. * Project Evaluation: Conduct post-launch evaluations to assess design success and gather insights for future improvements.
