Ciklum is looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:
As an Automation QA Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
Responsibilities: * Architect and build test automation frameworks from scratch * Develop and maintain automated functional tests for both UI and API layers * Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline * Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation infrastructure * Lead code reviews, establish high-quality coding standards, and mentor team members in writing clean and maintainable test code * Define quality metrics and implement measurements to evaluate test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and overall product quality * Analyze test execution results and report on the stability and reliability of the product under test * Evaluate and communicate the overall quality status of the product * Collaborate with QA engineers and developers to automate manual test scenarios * Identify, analyze, and mitigate testing risks throughout the development lifecycle * Propose and implement improvements to the testing and release workflows
Requirements: * Ability to define and execute test automation strategies across multiple test levels (unit, integration, API, UI), ensuring optimal test coverage for critical system components * Experience in planning and implementing automation strategies across multiple projects, optimizing automation efforts * Strong expertise in selecting the appropriate test types for automation and guiding teams in effective automation practices * Proven experience managing the lifecycle of test automation initiatives, including framework design, implementation, and cont imr-t * Strong programming skills in JavaScript+Playwright/Java+RestAssured, with the ability to write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code * Act as a full member of the QA team, participating in all quality assurance activities * Analyze and review product requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria * Participate in requirement discussions and provide feedback from a quality and testability perspective * Design and maintain test documentation, including test cases and test scenarios when required * Perform exploratory and manual testing when necessary to better understand system behavior and edge cases * Strong understanding of Agile methodologies * Ability to effectively drive and participate in Agile ceremonies such as: * Sprint planning * Estimation * Daily stand-ups * Retrospectives * Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (QA, developers, product)
