We are looking for an experienced AI SDLC Consultant to support a specific client engagement, focused on improving engineering team productivity through AI-driven and agentic SDLC practices.
The consultant will be responsible for the initial setup of agentic SDLC processes, followed by continuous improvement through experimentation, hypothesis testing, and controlled AI adoption across teams. You will work closely with engineering leadership, delivery teams, and stakeholders to ensure measurable productivity gains and sustainable AI integration into the development lifecycle.
This role is part-time and contract-based (hourly).
Requirements: * 7+ years of professional software development experience delivering commercial software products. * Proven experience building and improving team productivity using AI-driven SDLC practices. * Advanced usage of Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI-native development environments using instruments like global instructions, skills, subagents, mcp, cli etc. * Strong knowledge of methodologies like Spec Driven Development, BMAD method * Proven experience with SDD Frameworks like Speckit, Openspec etc. * Strong experience with change management, driving adoption across multiple teams. * Demonstrated R&D mindset, with ability to test, validate, and iterate on new approaches. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders. * Solid understanding of LLMs and AI system capabilities; experience building AI solutions is a plus. * Relevant certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities: * Assess current SDLC practices and establish a baseline for team productivity and AI adoption maturity. * Design and implement an initial agentic SDLC setup tailored to the client’s project context. * Define and run experiments (hypothesis-driven improvements) to continuously optimize development workflows using AI. * Introduce and operationalize spec-driven development and multi-agent workflows within teams. * Guide teams in adopting AI tools, coding agents, and LLM workflows, ensuring effective and consistent usage. * Establish standards for prompt engineering, global instructions, reusable skills, and agent orchestration. * Monitor, measure, and control AI adoption across teams, ensuring alignment with productivity and quality goals. * Collaborate with stakeholders to define and track KPIs for AI-driven productivity improvements. * Provide hands-on support and coaching to teams during rollout and scaling phases. * Create playbooks, frameworks, and documentation to support repeatable and scalable AI SDLC practices.
