PROJECT OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced Optical & Geometric Vision Physicist (Consultant) to support our Computer Vision team in solving depth and height estimation challenges using mobile video data. This role is a short-term one and it focuses on applying camera geometry, optics, and physics-based modeling to enhance real-world measurement accuracy. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL * Implement models to estimate; * Player height * Distance from camera (depth) * Utilize camera parameters such as focal length, field of view (FOV), and intrinsic/extrinsic properties; * Work with 2D pose/keypoint data to infer 3D spatial information; * Apply and refine: * Pinhole camera models * Perspective and projection geometry * Analyze and correct: * Camera angle effects * Perspective distortion * Lens distortion (when applicable) * Translate real-world camera setups into accurate mathematical representations; * Improve scale consistency across different devices and recording conditions; * Identify opportunities where physics-based approaches can complement or replace machine learning models; * Collaborate closely with Computer Vision engineers to integrate solutions into production pipelines.
