INFOBUS.EU is a European B2C platform for online bus ticket sales, serving millions of users annually. In 2025, we are launching a full-scale technology transformation — including a complete architecture rebuild, tech stack migration, and process overhaul.
We are looking for a CTO to lead this change from the ground up — as both a system architect and a strategic tech leader.
Scope of Responsibility:
Technology Strategy & Architecture * Build and execute the technology roadmap together with CEO and CPO. * Migrate from legacy systems to a modern microservice-based architecture using Next.js / Vue / React. * Define principles for scalability, fault tolerance, monitoring, and performance. * Lead architectural reviews and technical decision-making.
Development & Infrastructure * Oversee full-cycle development of the web platform, mobile apps (iOS/Android), and embedded JS widgets. * Establish DevOps processes, CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and test automation. * Define technology guidelines and implement technical excellence practices.
eCommerce Integrations * Implement CDP, push/email messaging, analytics, SEO, A/B testing, and CPA platforms. * Collaborate with marketing and product teams to drive data flows and growth tech. * Design the groundwork for future ML/AI-based personalization and search functionality.
Team & Engineering Culture * Build and manage an engineering team of 20+ people. * Set up Agile/Scrum practices, release cycles, retrospectives, and team ceremonies. * Handle hiring, onboarding, performance management, and mentoring.
Cross-functional Collaboration * Work closely with product managers, analysts, designers, and SEO specialists. * Participate in roadmap planning and sprint prioritization. * Communicate technical strategy and decisions clearly to both tech and non-tech stakeholders.
Requirements:
Must-have: * 5+ years of experience in CTO / Head of Engineering / Tech Lead roles in B2C, eCommerce, or TravelTech. * Proven experience successfully migrating complex systems. * Managed engineering teams of 20+ people. * Established Agile/Scrum processes and scaled engineering culture. * Strong product orientation: understanding UX, conversion, business metrics. * English — Upper-Intermediate or higher (verbal & written, with confident presentation skills).
Nice-to-have: * ML/AI experience in eCommerce environments. * Experience with search infrastructure (Elasticsearch, Solr, etc.). * Deep knowledge of SEO, analytics, and conversion optimization.
