Ciklum is looking for a Java Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:
As a Java Developer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on the project developing a scalable collaborative sportswear design platform. The solution will be used by global sportswear designers to create and launch new collections and is part of a larger Product Lifecycle Management ecosystem, providing centralized and standardized repositories for essential product creation components.
Responsibilities: * Perform back-end development to meet business needs and implement components within a modern software development environment * Participate in application code design, solution development, and code review decision-making * Develop and review feature design documents and update specifications for the solution * Design and implement unit, integration, and functional tests * Proactively contribute to solution development and process improvements * Work in an international distributed team within an Agile environment * Communicate with PMs, engineers, Architects, QA, and other colleagues and stakeholders * Deliver the product roadmap and planning * Apply high coding standards, software best practices, and write highly testable, automatable, and performant code throughout the SDLC
Requirements: * More than 5 years of professional software development experience * Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, design patterns, database theory, and computing theory * Expertise in Java development (Java 8 and above) and Spring Boot framework * Experience with Microservices architecture and REST API development * Knowledge of OOP and SOLID principles * Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, Active MQ, AWS SQS) * Practical experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, PowerMock, WireMock, Serenity BDD) * ORM experience (e.g., Hibernate) * Experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle) * Understanding of network interactions, protocols, conventions (REST, RPC), authentication and authorization flows, and standards (OAuth, JWT) * Experience with web servers and version control systems (GIT) * Knowledge of Docker and cloud solutions (AWS) * Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab Pipeline, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo) * Experience with Agile software processes, code review, and refactoring practices * Upper-Intermediate English proficiency
Desirable: * Knowledge of TDD and BDD * Familiarity with architectural and enterprise patterns * Understanding of security patterns and common attack types (OWASP) * Experience with deployment patterns * Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Cassandra)
