We are looking for a Strong Middle+ WordPress Developer to join our internal team at LITSLINK.
This role requires a developer who can independently deliver tasks from brief to production-ready implementation, working closely with the marketing team and Head of System Administration. The focus is on building and maintaining high-load WordPress websites, implementing integrations, and leveraging AI-driven workflows in a practical, production environment.
Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress-based websites (including high-load projects) * Build custom themes and plugins for production use * Implement landing pages, marketing features, and SEO improvements * Integrate external services via REST APIs * Work on performance optimization, debugging, and system stability * Ensure security best practices and avoid production risks * Collaborate with marketing and non-technical stakeholders * Work closely with Head of SysAdmin on infrastructure-related tasks * Use AI tools effectively to speed up development workflows (not basic usage, but practical application in delivery) * Independently analyze tasks, understand impact, and deliver reliable solutions
Requirements * 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience * Strong experience with custom theme and plugin development in production projects * Solid knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript * Deep understanding of: * WordPress hooks (actions / filters) * Template hierarchy * ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) * Custom Post Types & Taxonomies * Experience with REST API integrations * Strong skills in debugging and performance optimization * Experience working with staging and production environments * Experience with Git (GitHub / GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines in production * Understanding of WordPress security best practices * Ability to independently deliver tasks from brief to production-ready implementation * Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
AI Requirements * Proven experience using AI tools in real development workflows (code generation, refactoring, debugging, automation) * Understanding of AI limitations, prompt engineering, and data security considerations * Ability to use AI tools responsibly without exposing sensitive or proprietary data
Nice to have * Experience with high-load / complex WordPress projects * Familiarity with headless WordPress * Experience with DevOps / hosting / infrastructure basics * Experience with SEO tools and analytics (GA, GTM, etc.)
