This project focuses on building and evolving business-critical ERP solutions within the Odoo ecosystem. The goal is to deliver scalable, maintainable modules and integrations that streamline core operations (such as sales, finance, inventory, and reporting), while ensuring long-term stability, performance, and clean architecture as the platform grows.
We’re looking for an Odoo 16+ expert to lead the technical evolution of our business-critical ERP ecosystem. This role starts as a flexible part-time position with a possible transition to full-time as you take ownership of our architecture, mentor the team, and drive engineering excellence.
A new team member will be in charge of: * Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Odoo solutions aligned with business objectives. * Building and customizing Odoo modules, improving existing implementations, and keeping the codebase clean and maintainable. * Driving architectural decision-making to ensure a robust, future-proof system structure. * Optimizing system performance and troubleshooting complex production issues. * Enforcing development best practices, including coding standards, testing discipline, and documentation. * Conducting code reviews and ensuring consistent delivery quality across the team. * Leading the technical direction of Odoo initiatives and supporting predictable, high-quality releases.
Does this relate to you? * 3+ years of hands-on Odoo development experience (Odoo 16+ preferred). * Strong Python skills and deep understanding of Odoo architecture, ORM, and module structure. * Solid experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling in business applications. * Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable system architectures and make pragmatic technical decisions. * Confidence in running code reviews and raising overall engineering standards. * Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and proactively. * English is Upper-intermediate.
Nice to have: * Performance optimization experience, third-party integrations (APIs/REST/XML-RPC), and strong Odoo frontend expertise (a significant advantage). * Experience leading or mentoring developers (e.g., team lead, tech lead, or similar responsibilities).
