We are seeking a seasoned Production DBA with a primary focus on Microsoft SQL Server. This is a high-execution role for a technical specialist dedicated to ensuring system stability, proactive health monitoring, and L3 incident resolution within complex, high-load environments.
You will join a focused team of 2-3 experts responsible for managing a portfolio of several international client accounts across various sectors, including FinTech and HealthTech. Technical Requirements: * Professional Background: A minimum of 7 years of experience specifically in Database Administration. We are looking for candidates who have built their careers around the DBA path rather than transitioning from general development. * Primary Stack: Expert-level mastery of MS SQL Server is mandatory. This includes deep knowledge of High Availability (Always On), Disaster Recovery, T-SQL modules, and advanced Index/Query optimization. * Secondary Stack (Nice-to-have): Proficiency or familiarity with PostgreSQL or MySQL is a significant advantage. * Cloud Expertise: Practical experience managing database instances within Azure SQL or AWS RDS/Aurora environments. * Communication: English B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher. You must be able to articulate technical risks and best practices directly to clients and internal teams.
Operational Scope: * Technical Execution: This role is focused on “hands-on” delivery. You will be responsible for deep-dive troubleshooting, performance engineering, and the execution of complex maintenance tasks. * US Market Support: The position involves providing “night call” support to align with the working hours of customers in the United States. * Onboarding Phase: For the initial training period, a ~6-hour daily overlap with the US-based team is required to align with internal methodologies. * Service Model: You will not be dedicated to a single project; instead, you will act as a high-level technical lead across multiple assigned client accounts. * Consultative Authority: While the role is execution-heavy, you are expected to have the seniority to identify and flag requests that deviate from industry best practices, providing clear technical justifications.
