Currently, we are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer (Infrastructure & DevOps) to join our client’s project (USA), focusing on developing solutions to facilitate rapid scalability in solar energy. This role will focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and system orchestration using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
With the flexibility to work in the US PST time zone.
Requirements: * 4-7+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure or DevOps engineering; * Strong experience with Terraform and Ansible; * Experience with: * Virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) * Windows Server and/or Linux administration * Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing). * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; * Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently; * Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Infrastructure Automation & IaC * Design, build, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform & Azure DevOps [Ansible as Secondary objective]; * Develop reusable modules for multi-environment deployments (dev, test, production); * Automate provisioning of: * Virtual machines (VMware / Hyper-V) * Networking components (VLANs, firewalls, load balancers) * Storage systems * Cloud resources (Azure/AWS if applicable)
Configuration Management & Orchestration * Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform Plans, Azure pipelines and roles.
Automate: * OS provisioning and hardening * Application deployments * Patch management * Configuration drift remediation * Integrate Ansible/Terraform with CI/CD pipelines.
System Integration & DevOps Enablement * Integrate automation workflows with: CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) * Build automated pipelines for infrastructure deployment and validation. * Implement version control and change tracking for all automation artifacts.
Infrastructure & Platform Engineering * Support and automate: * Virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi / Hyper-V) * Windows Server and/or Linux systems * Networking (routing, switching, firewall policies) * Work closely with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance.
Monitoring, Logging & Reliability * Automate monitoring deployment and alerting configurations; * Improve system reliability through automation and self-healing scripts; * Troubleshoot automation failures and infrastructure issues.
Security & Compliance * Implement secure configurations aligned with: NIST, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks * Automate security baselines and compliance checks; * Manage secrets securely (e.g., Vault, Key Vault).
