Who We Are We’re building a virtual hub of AI-enabled engineers based in Ukraine — a distributed team that delivers end-to-end software at a pace and quality level that traditional teams can’t match.
Our approach isn’t “use ChatGPT to write boilerplate.” We are developing a rigorous, structured methodology where humans and AI collaborate as equals — the human drives strategy, architecture, and scope decisions while AI handles implementation, adversarial testing, and documentation at speed.
We’re looking for engineers who want to work this way. What You’ll Do You will join a team working for the digital services unit of a global manufacturing customer to implement the first layer of a truly digital operating system — the kind of platform where processes, data, and decisions flow as code rather than spreadsheets and email chains.
As an AI-enabled architect and engineer, you don’t just write code — you orchestrate AI to execute entire development cycles while you focus on what humans do best: think strategically, make judgment calls, enforce quality, and own the outcome.
Day-to-day work looks like this: * Design distributed systems — model entity lifecycles, state machines, coordination rules, and event-driven workflows on top of durable execution and streaming infrastructure * Write and own Go code — build CLI tools, service handlers, schema definitions, and integration layers; AI accelerates you but you understand every line that ships * Architect for composability — define clean interfaces, event contracts (Protobuf), and module boundaries that let the platform grow without becoming a monolith * Drive TDD cycles — write tests before implementation, including adversarial edge cases (nil inputs, race conditions, malformed data, giant payloads) * Define requirements and write specs — structured stakeholder analysis, design decision tables, trade-off rationale for every architectural choice * Enforce quality gates — nothing merges without passing vet, test, build, and documentation checks * Debug and operate — trace issues through event logs, state transitions, and distributed coordination; own the system end-to-end * Capture decisions — every “why” is documented, every trade-off recorded, every rejected alternative explained
You will NOT: * Write boilerplate code manually (AI does that) * Skip testing phases because “it’s a small change” * Merge without adversarial review * Ship documentation as an afterthought * Guess at problems without verification
What We’re Building Our current project is building the first layer of a digital operating system for the digital services unit of a global manufacturing customer — a lightweight platform for unified process and data orchestration built in Go on Camunda (process orchestration), Restate (durable execution) and Kafka (event backbone). But the specific project matters less than the methodology.
Future projects will span domains. What stays constant is: * Structured methodology (requirements → spec → plan → TDD → adversarial review → PR) * AI as implementation partner (Roo or Claude Code, custom tooling, agentic workflows) * Code-is-model philosophy (UNIX pipes, composition over inheritance, single binaries) * Academic grounding (DDD, event sourcing, data-centric process management — not buzzwords, structural foundations)
Who You AreRequired * 3-5+ years building production systems (backend, platform, infrastructure — not just CRUD) * Strong in Go, TypeScript, or Rust — willingness to work in Go specifically * Deep understanding of software architecture — DDD, event-driven systems, state machines, distributed systems are your vocabulary, not your aspirations * Test-driven discipline — you’ve written adversarial tests, not just happy-path coverage * Clear technical writing — you can explain a design decision in 3 sentences with trade-offs included * Comfortable with AI-assisted development — you’ve used Claude, Copilot, or similar tools productively and understand their strengths and limits * Self-directed — you don’t need a ticket for every task; you see what needs doing and do it * Based in Ukraine — we’re building a Ukrainian engineering hub specifically * Able to express even complicated concepts in professional fluent english
Strongly Preferred * German language skills might help (Business language is English but we work in a German environment) * Experience with durable execution frameworks (Restate, Temporal, Inngest) * Experience with event streaming (Kafka, Redpanda, Pulsar) * Familiarity with Protobuf / gRPC contract-driven development * Background in process automation or BPM (Camunda, Zeebe, or similar) * Experience mentoring or leading small engineering teams * Contributions to open source projects
